S2E2 talks about Indian food and is titled “curry.” However, there is no such thing as curry to the Indians. It is a word invented and popularized by British colonizers, and came to be seen by the Westerners as the representative of Indian food when in fact the cuisine is far more diverse and delicate than just a pot of veggie or protein floating in some nondescript orange or brown or red sauce. To be accepted by the mainstream, minority ethnic groups are almost apologetic for the authenticity of their food. Certain more easily assimilable features are amplified and get standardized in the name of “fusion," however in the process the food are stripped of their origins and histories, their subtle differences and intricacies. 印度料理里品类繁多的香料和其千变万化的运用，对世界料理的贡献，食物背后传递出的哲学和传统，全被咖喱二字轻轻巧巧的掩过了. 就像这集里一个美食评论家说的，when foods or ingredients or traditions get separated from their originating communities, identities are removed and history gets erased. 折射出的是白人的拿来主义和毫不客气高高在上的态度。
